Four New Merchants Open Their Doors at Gulf Place

Gulf Place on 30A is pleased to announce four new merchants have opened for business. New merchants include Beach House Tile & Design; Conerly, Bowman and Dykes Law Firm; Lord and Son Construction; and Rock Creative Images.

Located at 118 Spires Lane #1-A, Beach House Tile & Design is owned and operated by Lonna Mcgrew. Having vacationed in the area for nearly 10 years, Mcgrew knew Florida’s Emerald Coast is where she would eventually like to call home. Although Mcgrew is new to the area, having relocated in the middle of 2016, she is no stranger to the tile business. With over 20 years of experience, Mcgrew partnered with a husband and wife duo out of South Florida to open Beach House Tile & Design at Gulf Place. Mcgrew and company offer their expertise and knowledge of tile for a myriad of projects. The company is available for interior or exterior, pool and decking and corporate projects. Mark Your Calendars for the 30A Half Marathon & 5K — October 15

Runners can now register for the second annual 30A Half Marathon and 5K, which will take place October 15, 2017.

The race, put on by The Sonder Project, a global nonprofit organization in Santa Rosa Beach,  will start and end at Gulf Place, taking runners along 13.1 miles of beautiful Scenic Highway 30-A. The turnaround point will be the Boathouse at Watercolor Inn & Resort.

The weekend’s events will kick off with a barbecue and beer festival on Friday. Guests can vote for the best barbecue on the Emerald Coast. Oh, and there’s beer! The race expo and packet pick-up will be held Saturday, also at Gulf Place.

Sponsorship opportunities, ranging from $100 to $10,000, are still available.

All race proceeds will benefit The Sonder Project’s mission to change the world through high-impact, sustainable projects aimed at ending extreme poverty and fighting hunger locally, domestically and abroad.

The 30A Company is a founding partner of The Sonder Project along with YOLO Board and 360 Blue.

The Sonder Project’s international projects include building schools to educate boys and girls, providing safe drinking water and coordinating de-worming campaigns to enable healthy children to thrive and learn.

Domestically, the organization’s Project: feed program helps feed the hungry here in the U.S. by bringing vacation rental companies together to collect non-perishable food items that are left behind when visitors check-out of their rental units.

30A St Patrick's Day Parade and Festival Celebrates 10 Years at Gulf Place

Proceeds support United for a Good Cause

Santa Rosa Beach, Fla. (February 27, 2017) – The 10th Annual 30A St Patrick's Parade and Festival will take place Saturday, March 18, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at Gulf Place. Following the parade, the festival kicks off at 3:00 p.m. with live music and kid’s activities in the amphitheater. Proceeds support 501c United for a Good Cause, the Spirit of Service, Giving and Unity among the youth in our region for the benefit of our Emerald Coast community. The 10th Annual 30A St Patrick's Parade and Festival is presented by ResortQuest by Wyndham Vacation Rentals.

Parade goers will enjoy over 50 floats and parade entries, in all shapes and sizes. The parade will begin at 2:00 p.m. in Grayton Beach, Florida, and travel four miles west along Scenic Highway 30A ending at the Gulf Place amphitheater. Those interested in entering a float can do so at http://30aparade.com/registration/.

Following the parade’s conclusion at 3:00 p.m., festivalgoers are invited to enjoy an array of arts and crafts, face painting, bouncy houses, and live music. A variety of food and drinks, including green beer, will be available for purchase.


Returning for another year, Whiskey of the Damned is a five piece, Celtic influenced rock group put together by Ireland native Eoin McCarthy. Located in Milwaukee WI, Whiskey of the Damned are a group of talented musicians dedicated to playing high energy, raucous concerts filled with an unmistakable mixture of American and Irish rock.
