The 30A St. Patricks Day parade was a huge success for South Walton. Twenty floats made their way along 30A and found their way to Gulf Place. The Amphitheater at Gulf Place provided a perfect gathering area for all the participants along the parade route. When everyone arrived there was food, drinks, and artist vendors, face painting, and musical entertainment to entertain young and the young at heart.
The parade, which first rolled in 2008, included a festival complete with green beer, Guinness-sponsored banners, face painting and an Irish good time. Entertainment included Irish Dancers and Atlanta-based Celtic rock band Mickle-A-Do. The festival entertainment portion of the event has grown tremendously, and the amphitheater was packed this year.
