Gulf Place Begins Monthly First Friday Art Walk


Beginning May 5, 2017, through October 6, 2017, the Artists at Gulf Place and Gordie Hinds will host the Gulf Place First Friday Art Walk in conjunction with the Artists of 30A First Friday Art Walk. On the first Friday of every month, participating South Walton art galleries stay open late to display their art. This is the community’s opportunity to see new artwork, meet the artists, and enjoy both refreshments and live music. The Artists at Gulf Place will be incorporating their Battle of the Brushes, where local artists paint in a competition, and the paintings are for sale at the end of the night. All area artists are encouraged to display their work and participate in the monthly art exhibition for a minimal fee. Additionally, guests can enjoy live music by jazz guitarist, Mark Graham. 30A St Patrick's Day Parade and Festival Celebrates 10 Years at Gulf Place

Proceeds support United for a Good Cause

Santa Rosa Beach, Fla. (February 27, 2017) – The 10th Annual 30A St Patrick's Parade and Festival will take place Saturday, March 18, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at Gulf Place. Following the parade, the festival kicks off at 3:00 p.m. with live music and kid’s activities in the amphitheater. Proceeds support 501c United for a Good Cause, the Spirit of Service, Giving and Unity among the youth in our region for the benefit of our Emerald Coast community. The 10th Annual 30A St Patrick's Parade and Festival is presented by ResortQuest by Wyndham Vacation Rentals.

Parade goers will enjoy over 50 floats and parade entries, in all shapes and sizes. The parade will begin at 2:00 p.m. in Grayton Beach, Florida, and travel four miles west along Scenic Highway 30A ending at the Gulf Place amphitheater. Those interested in entering a float can do so at http://30aparade.com/registration/.

Following the parade’s conclusion at 3:00 p.m., festivalgoers are invited to enjoy an array of arts and crafts, face painting, bouncy houses, and live music. A variety of food and drinks, including green beer, will be available for purchase.


Returning for another year, Whiskey of the Damned is a five piece, Celtic influenced rock group put together by Ireland native Eoin McCarthy. Located in Milwaukee WI, Whiskey of the Damned are a group of talented musicians dedicated to playing high energy, raucous concerts filled with an unmistakable mixture of American and Irish rock.

Gulf Place on 30A is pleased to announce two new merchants have joined the town center. Modus Photography and the Deep South Market are now open.

Pronounced Mo-dus, the brainchild of Freeport, Florida, native and self-taught photographer Chandler WilliamsModus Photography is a creative team specializing in capturing what the average eye doesn't see. 


From creatively capturing the lifestyle of 30A to hiking off the grid in Latin America, Modus is there. Chandler and his team have an extensive portfolio with work ranging from travel/documentary to commercial and family portraits. Modus Photography’s now second location is nestled in the shared space with Sunrise Coffee Co. at the corner of County Road 393 and County Highway 30A. The gallery is open daily from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.


The husband and wife duo behind The Perfect Pig and Preacher’s Kitchen at Gulf Place, Jeff and Vickie Miller, have introduced the Deep South Market to South Walton. The Deep South Market, which celebrated its Grand Opening on October 8, 2016, is the restaurant veteran’s dream combination of delicatessen and boutique gift shop.

Along with the opening of The Deep South Market, The Perfect Pig recently updated their bar to include more space, which flows effortless into the market.

Kick off the holiday festivities with the Artists at Gulf PlaceAnnual Holiday Open House on November 25 & 2610 a.m. - 5 p.m.! The artists will be hosting their holiday workshops and kids will be decorating the Gulf Place holiday tree with their own crafty ornaments! SANTA will swing in on Saturdaymorning to empty his mailbox, and to hang with the kids from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.!
